The Lahore University of Management Sciences Model United Nations Society (LUMUN) is a student run, non-profit organization that has organized intra-LUMS, national and international level conferences on a regular basis since its inception in 2002.

Our endeavor is not only to create awareness about global issues facing our world today, but also to provide a forum for young delegates to speak their minds out through meaningful and well-informed debate. Ever since our first delegation went abroad for an international conference, we have tried our best to share our experience and exposure with as many Pakistani students as possible.

LUMUN' 08 is the 5th All-Pakistan Model UN conference organized by LUMUN. After the successful conclusion of LUMUN 2007, attended by more than 1100 participants from Pakistan and abroad, LUMUN '08 is all set to establish its mark once again. Themed around the concept of reflection and diplomacy, LUMUN '08 will bring together young, enterprising minds and put them to solving world issues at an interactive platform.

At LUMUN '08, delegates will assume the role of ambassadors of various countries of the world, indulging in debate on crucial issues of global concern. In the process, delegates produce standard UN format resolutions that present practical solutions of pressing international issues under debate. Delegates also have an opportunity to socialize and forge life-long associations.

In line with our tradition of encouraging meaningful debate on contemporary issues of significance for every responsible citizen of the world by simulating committee sessions of the United Nations, we are proud to present to you this (2008-2009) year's All Pakistan International MUN Conference (LUMUN '08).
